Johann Georg Frederich Tinius oldest son of Karl Frederich and Karloine Rajaman

Johann Georg Frederich Tinius, Born 1844 in Greabendorf, Brandenberg, Prussia and came to this country with his father Karl Frederich in 1856. In November 1861 he volunteered for the army, and was mustard in Company D, 27th Regiment Kentucky Infintry in March of 1862. His Regiment was at the battle of Shiloh in April 1862, after the two day battle the regiment went to Cornith, Ms., he was admitted to a field hospital that was set up by Ohio Volunteers and died from dysentery on June 13, 1862.  The last document on this page is Frederich's last letter to his parents and has been translated from the original german.
